For Sanjiv Mehan and his wife, Anshu, this wasn’t just a kitchen project – it was the opportunity to create something truly personal, modern and meticulously designed. Their ambition was to blend functionality with individuality – a space that worked effortlessly for daily living yet offered the kind of refinement that set it apart.
A Kitchen Designed to Be Lived In
From the outset, the couple were looking for something far beyond standard. “We wanted a space that felt seamless, that worked beautifully for cooking, hosting and everyday life – but also something unique. Bespoke. With real character,” Sanjiv explains.
After exploring options from a range of well-known kitchen brands, it was Kesseler’s innovative design approach – underpinned by production in their UK-based factory – that stood out. “It felt different. The design, the product quality, the individuality. Nothing off the shelf.”
Functionality was key. “Everything should be within reach. It should feel intuitive – like it’s been designed around how you actually live.”
A Full-Scope Project, Seamlessly Delivered
The project was expansive – not just a kitchen, but a utility room and a bespoke media wall for the living room. In the kitchen alone, 31 hand-built cabinets were commissioned, each designed to precise specifications and tailored to the space.
“It was a blank canvas,” Sanjiv says. “There were a lot of elements to coordinate – design, technical planning, installation. At times it felt like planning the arrival of a baby. But the whole thing was so well managed – the process just worked.”
Working with Kesseler designer Richard proved instrumental. “We were on the same wavelength from day one,” he adds. “Every detail was considered – nothing was too much trouble.”
The installation team delivered with precision and care, bringing together every element to create a cohesive, beautiful result. “It all came together flawlessly.”

Now complete, the kitchen has transformed how Sanjiv and Anshu live in their home. It’s a place to gather, cook, unwind and entertain – a space that adapts beautifully to both everyday moments and special occasions.
